Well all in all it was an OK trip to the track for almost everyone. My day started off getting my NOS fixed up...turned out to be i had the jets switched AS PER NOS ANS PAW (a NOS retailer....dumb ass's)....man oh man...NOS is my freind! I had the boost controller off and it pulled like 15 PSI! AMAZING! SO anyhow.....rolled out for the 100 mile drive to the track....had a shit load of pump gas in the tank....so i spent the drive in 4rth doing WOT runs for a couple senconds trying to burn it off. I get to the track (after one kick ass Sushi lunch)...Mark Leader and FELIX23 rolled together...and Mark swears to me theres race gas there. NOOOOOOOOOOPPPPPPPPPPEEEEEEEE DAMMIT. Well we asked around if anyone wanted to sell some to us. We thought cuz we had imports and this was TRULY as PWT event....we would get the cold shoulder....NOPE! We found this guy who has a bug performance shop (his car was doing wheel stands ALL DAY) and he GAVE me 3 gallons of C-16! I offered him money he says "help someone out next time" NOw thats what racing is all about. Now to the racing..... NO NOS until the last run First pass "felt" OK....not great.,...didn't shift well and the luanhc was OK but i had traction...thats a cool thing. I BAKED the tires and managed to get both wheels spinning (my posi is on its way out) and really roasted them. Hit the luanch button....it hit OK...a little too much wheel spin and i was off to a 12.7@118 for my first pass. I was pretty bummed @ the MPH but my AVC-R was not learned. I lost alot of power in 3rd and 4rth.....my 1/8 mile MPH was there @94 (4 MPH faster than my Famoso timeslips) deopsite the shitty luanch. huimmmm....well well keep going. Only making about 23 PSI of boost....I make my next pass....GREAT luanch...or so i thought (hesitated a little with the clutch...ended up being a 2.1) and again not as much power in 3rd or 4rth....12.44 @ 119! Getting better 3rd pass i run a 12.8@116 (BLEW the luanch....burn out was short and I hit the luanch button late and didn't build any boost at the line. Car still seemed a bit slow....well the #'s certainly indicated. SO i took it out on the street...and tried to get it set-up. Roads were not really conducive so i set up setting A to 1.3 KG....and tunr the bottle on...hit it in second OMG she felt good! Alright...im going for the NOS to run an 11! I wanted to break 120.....i wanted 125! Wouldn't find it though 4rth and last run (I missed a run tuning) set the TC a little lower cuz I was still getting wheel spin....luanching at 4850 this time instead of 5300...ended up being too much of a change....should have left at like 5000 So i do a MONSTER burnout! It was LONG and felt great...the water box at this track is really good....nice and WET and BIG....you sit there all day too....they dont care LOL! So i line up....now remeber...I have to luanch...shift to second and hit the NOS! ( I have plans to fix that though). I line up...stater hit the lights early...dam i didn't hit the luanch button....i hit hit it and floor it...but i doubt it had time to do anything...i go...it bogs then hook (2.4 60 ft) i shift hit the switch in 2nd and WAMMMMMMMOOOOO....it pulls hard. I granny shift to 3rd NOS comes in and feels good...then becuase the BC wasn't set up all the way for that setting i feel the power drop a bit...look over and im at 1.0 KG...blaaaaahhhh. I hit 4rth...power comes in really hard and the same thing. ENded up with a 12.7@121.50...yeeeehhhhaaa broke that misserable 120 MPH barrier.what a shit time and MPH! Im not real happy with my car today! SO im off to do a compression check....it was not a boost leak cuz it does not bleed off boost! But at this point im wondering if she isn't getting tired. If all goes well there...im going to dyno next week to set my boost controller back up and get some new #'s with the NOS. Then ill hit the track in 3 weeks or so. BTW...i turned the boost back up on the way home....after 4 or 5 throttle runs it really felt strong...so im not sure...everytime I fall back in love with the AVCR it fucks me. well see. Other notables....this mustang leaves on me by 4 cars in race 3....ran his ass down right at the end of the track...FELIX23 tells me the crown was cheering LOL it was a great race. THat was cool. I LOVED the track...real race fans and racers there...relaxed atmosphere! AWESOME day!
